Car
If you are traveling by car from any location in Gemer, head towards the D1 motorway. Follow the signs for Bratislava, continuing on D1 until you reach the outskirts of the city. Take the exit for Staré Mesto and follow the signs to Pažického Street. There is limited parking near Slavín, so plan to arrive early to secure a spot. Be prepared for a small parking fee, usually around 1-2 euros per hour.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Gemer to Bratislava. Arrive at the main bus station 'Autobusová stanica', and from there, you can catch tram number 4 or 9 heading towards 'Hlavná stanica'. Get off at the 'Kostol' stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Slavín. Walk along Karpatská Street, then turn left onto Pažického Street. The walk is uphill, so wear comfortable shoes.
