Car
If you're traveling by car from the center of Prešov, take the E571 road heading north towards the town of Krompachy. Continue on this road for about 25 km until you reach the exit for Žehra. Turn left onto the road leading into Žehra, and follow the signs for Spiš Castle. The castle is located approximately 3 km from the village center. There is parking available near the castle, but it may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Spiš Castle via public transport, start by taking a train or bus from Prešov to the town of Spišská Nová Ves. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From Spišská Nová Ves, you can catch a bus to Žehra. Buses run regularly, but it's advisable to check the local schedule ahead of time. The bus ride to Žehra takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Žehra, follow the signs to Spiš Castle, which is about a 30-minute walk uphill from the village. Be sure to have some small change on hand for the bus fare.
