Car
If you're driving from Turiec, head south on the main road (E58) toward Banská Bystrica. Continue on E58 for approximately 20 kilometers. Once you reach the outskirts of Banská Bystrica, follow the signs for the city center (Centrum). You will arrive at Námestie SNP, where the Central Slovak Museum is located at Námestie SNP 3755/4A. Parking may be available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees.
Public Transportation - Train
From Turiec, take a train to Banská Bystrica. The train station in Turiec is easily accessible, and trains run frequently. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Banská Bystrica train station, exit the station and walk towards the city center. It’s a 15-minute walk to Námestie SNP. Follow the main road towards the center, and you will see signs directing you to the museum.
Public Transportation - Bus
Take a bus from Turiec to Banská Bystrica. Buses are available from the main bus station, and the journey lasts around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Banská Bystrica bus station, exit and head towards the city center, which is about a 20-minute walk. Look for signs that point towards Námestie SNP, where the museum is located.
