Bus
To reach Rakov Škocjan in Cerknica from Ljubljana, start at the main bus station (Avtobusna postaja Ljubljana). Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Cerknica. Buses to Cerknica typically depart every hour, so check the schedules in advance. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which takes about 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the Cerknica bus station, exit the bus and head towards the main road (Cesta 1. maja). Walk straight for approximately 1.5 km until you see signs for Rakov Škocjan. Follow the signs, and you will reach the entrance to the ravine.

Train and Bus
Begin your journey at the Ljubljana train station. Purchase a ticket for a train to the nearest station, which is Rakek. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Rakek train station, transfer to a local bus that goes to Cerknica. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. When you arrive in Cerknica, walk towards the main road (Cesta 1. maja) and follow the signs for Rakov Škocjan, which is about 2 km away. You may also ask locals for directions if needed.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Ljubljana. Start from the city center and follow the designated bike paths towards the south of the city. The ride to Cerknica is approximately 25 km and can take around 1.5 hours. Follow the signs towards the highway (H1) and look for the turn-off to Cerknica. Once in Cerknica, navigate towards Cesta 1. maja and follow the signs to Rakov Škocjan. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads.
