Getting There

• Train

  From Maribor, make your way to the Maribor Railway Station (Železniška postaja Maribor). You can walk there from the city center or take a local bus. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Ptuj. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Upon arriving at Ptuj Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the city center by following the signs or asking for directions. It’s a 15-20 minute walk from the station to Slovenski trg, where the Ptuj City Theatre is located.

• Bus

  Head to the Maribor Bus Station (Avtobusna postaja Maribor), which is located near the city center. You can walk or take a local bus to get there. Buy a ticket to Ptuj from the ticket counter or machine. Buses to Ptuj typically leave every hour, with the journey taking around 30-40 minutes. After arriving at the Ptuj bus station, exit and walk towards the city center, which is about a 15-minute walk to Slovenski trg 13, where Ptuj City Theatre is situated.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, you can walk directly to Ptuj City Theatre. Start from the main square in Maribor (Glavni trg) and head east towards the Drava River. Cross the bridge over the river, continue straight, and follow the signs to Ptuj. The distance is approximately 25 kilometers, so it would take several hours to reach Ptuj on foot. It is advisable to use public transport if you wish to visit the theatre.
