Getting There

Walking

If you're starting from the center of Nova Gorica, head towards the main bus station located at Trg Edvarda Kardelja. From the bus station, walk straight along the main road (Ulica Tolminskih puntarjev) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the highway (H4) towards Idrija. Continue straight for about 12 kilometers until you reach the town of Idrija. Upon entering Idrija, follow the signs to the town center. Once you reach the center, look for Prelovčeva ulica, which is just a short walk from the main square. TIC Idrija will be located at Prelovčeva ulica 5. This walk may take approximately 30 minutes to reach the bus station, plus the bus ride to Idrija.
Bus

From the center of Nova Gorica, walk to the main bus station located at Trg Edvarda Kardelja. Purchase a ticket to Idrija at the ticket counter or from a vending machine. Buses to Idrija run regularly, so check the schedule for the next available departure. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Idrija, exit the bus station, turn left, and walk towards the town center. Prelovčeva ulica is a short walk from the bus station, and TIC Idrija is located at number 5 on that street.
Train and Bus Combination

From Nova Gorica, walk to the Nova Gorica train station. Board a train heading to Most na Soči. Once you arrive at Most na Soči, transfer to a bus that goes to Idrija. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. After arriving in Idrija, exit the bus station, turn left, and walk towards Prelovčeva ulica. TIC Idrija is located at number 5 on that street. Make sure to check the train and bus schedules in advance to ensure smooth transfers.
