Birdwatching Bliss: The Lake Ptuj Birding Platform

Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the city center of Ptuj, near the main square (Glavni trg). Head east towards the street called Ulica heroja Zidanška. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Ulica Dr. Lojzeta Pleska. Follow this road for about 300 meters until you see a sign for Mestni log. Turn left into Mestni log street, and you will find the Birding platform Lake Ptuj approximately 1 kilometer ahead on your right, situated near the lake.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle in Ptuj and set off from the main square. Ride east towards Ulica heroja Zidanška, then continue straight to the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Ulica Dr. Lojzeta Pleska. After about 300 meters, turn left onto Mestni log street. Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer. The Birding platform Lake Ptuj will be on your right, near the water, providing a great view of the surroundings.

• Public Transport

  From the Ptuj bus station, you can take a local bus heading towards the nearby villages. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Mestni log, as bus routes may vary. Once you get off, walk towards Mestni log street. The Birding platform Lake Ptuj is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, following the path along the lake until you reach the platform.
