Getting there

Walking

Starting from the center of Ptuj, make your way to the main square (Trg Republike). From the square, head east on Slovenski trg, then turn right onto Ulica heroja Zidanška. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Ulica 5. avgusta. Follow this road for about 500 meters until you see a sign for Ptuj Castle. There will be a pathway leading uphill towards the castle. Ascend the hill, and you'll arrive at Ptuj Castle, located at Na Gradu 1.

Public Transport

If you are near the Ptuj bus station, you can take a local bus that heads towards the castle area. Check the local bus schedule for routes that mention 'Na Gradu' or 'Ptuj Castle.' After getting off at the nearest stop, follow the signs towards the castle, which is a short walk uphill.

Bicycle

If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from local rental shops in Ptuj. Start at the main square and head towards Ulica heroja Zidanška. Keep following the road as it leads you towards Ulica 5. avgusta. Look for the castle signs and follow them as they lead you up the hill to Ptuj Castle. The ride is approximately 2 kilometers and will take around 10 minutes.
