If you are in the Durban Central area, make your way to the beachfront promenade. Start at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) on Walnut Road. Head east on Walnut Road until you reach the junction with the Esplanade. Continue straight onto the Esplanade and walk towards the sea. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the beachfront area. From here, head north along the promenade, enjoying the views of the ocean. After approximately 15 minutes of walking along the promenade, you will see the Dick King Statue located at 1 Victoria Embankment, right by the water's edge.

Public Transport (Bus)
To reach the Dick King Statue using public transport, locate the nearest bus stop that services the Durban Central district, such as the one at the Durban City Hall. Take a bus heading towards the North Beach area. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Victoria Embankment. Once you disembark, the statue is a short walk away. Head towards the waterfront, and you will see the statue at 1 Victoria Embankment.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental stations around Durban Central. Start at the Durban Botanical Gardens and cycle down the Berea Road towards the beachfront area. When you reach the Esplanade, turn left and follow the road along the beach front. This route will take you approximately 20 minutes of cycling. Keep an eye out for the Dick King Statue on your right at 1 Victoria Embankment, just before you reach the harbour.
