Walking
If you are near Rosebank Mall, exit the mall and head east on Cradock Ave toward Jan Smuts Ave. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Jan Smuts Ave. Turn left onto Jan Smuts Ave and continue walking for about 800 meters. You will see the entrance to Johannesburg Zoo on your right at the corner of Jan Smuts Ave and the Zoo entrance road.

Public Transport - Bus
From Rosebank, locate the bus stop on Cradock Ave. You can take the MetroBus (Route 12) towards the Johannesburg CBD. You will need to pay a fare, which is approximately ZAR 12. Get off at the stop closest to the Zoo (Jan Smuts Ave). After alighting, walk along Jan Smuts Ave for about 200 meters, and you will find the entrance to Johannesburg Zoo on your left.
