If you are in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and wish to reach Central Kalahari Game Reserve, start by heading southeast towards the Dune Road (also known as the Nossob Road). Follow the Dune Road until you exit the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park at the Kalahari Gateway. This will take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your starting point within the park. After exiting the park, follow the signs towards Ghanzi on the A2 highway. The distance from Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park to Ghanzi is about 180 kilometers. From Ghanzi, continue on the A2 until you reach the turn-off for the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, which is marked by signs. The reserve entrance is approximately 100 kilometers from Ghanzi. Be aware that fuel stations are limited, so ensure your vehicle is adequately fueled before departing.

Public transportation options are limited in this remote area. However, you may find shuttle services or taxis operating from Ghanzi to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. From Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, you will need to arrange for a ride to Ghanzi first. This can be done through local lodge services or taxi stands. Once in Ghanzi, inquire about local shuttle services that travel to the reserve. It is advisable to book these in advance due to limited availability. The cost may vary, but expect to pay around 250-400 BWP (Botswana Pula) for a one-way trip to the reserve.
