Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car within Royal Natal National Park, start from the main entrance gate. Follow the main road (R74) towards the park's visitor center. Continue driving until you reach the sign for Gudu Falls. The parking area is about a 15-minute walk from the falls. Make sure to secure your vehicle and take a map from the visitor center for further navigation.

  • Hiking

    Once you are parked, follow the marked hiking trails leading to Gudu Falls. The trail is approximately 3 kilometers long and will take about an hour to hike. It is advisable to wear sturdy hiking shoes, and carry enough water. The path is well-maintained but can be rocky in places, so take your time.

  • Public Transportation

    If you do not have a car, you may take a local taxi or shuttle service from nearby towns like Bergville to the entrance of Royal Natal National Park. Upon arrival, you will need to pay an entrance fee for the park. From the park entrance, you will either need to walk or hire a local guide to take you to Gudu Falls, as public transportation does not go directly into the park.
