From the main entrance of West Coast National Park, head south on the R27 towards Yzerfontein. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Yzerfontein. Once in Yzerfontein, follow the signs towards the beach area, where you can park your car at the beach access point. Note that there is usually a parking fee, so have some cash ready. After parking, walk along the beach towards the west until you reach the water's edge. From there, you will need to take a small boat or kayak to reach Schaap Island, as it is not accessible by land. Local boat rentals are available, and prices may vary.

Take a bus from Cape Town to Yzerfontein. The bus will drop you off in the town center. From there, you can walk towards the beach area, following local signs. Once you reach the beach, you will need to hire a local boat to take you to Schaap Island.
