Getting There

• Bicycle

  From your location in Hilton Head Island, find a bike rental shop or use any available bike-sharing service. Head towards the nearest bike path that leads to the Cross Island Parkway. Follow the bike path to the bridge that connects Hilton Head Island to the mainland. Once across the bridge, continue on Highway 278 until you reach the intersection with Highway 21. Turn right onto Highway 21 and continue straight until you reach the city of Beaufort. Follow the signs to downtown Beaufort, and when you reach Craven Street, turn left. The Beaufort History Museum will be on your right at 713 Craven St.

  Start by locating the local bus service in Hilton Head Island, such as the Palmetto Breeze Transit. Board a bus that heads towards Beaufort. The bus will take you across the bridge and into Beaufort. Once you arrive at the Beaufort stop, exit the bus and walk towards Craven Street. Head east on Craven Street, and you will find the Beaufort History Museum at 713 Craven St, just a short walk from the bus stop.

Once you arrive in Beaufort, you can explore the area on foot. Navigate to Craven Street by heading towards the downtown area, and you will find the Beaufort History Museum located at 713 Craven St, a pleasant walk from the main square.
