If you are starting from the Coligny Beach area, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head northwest on Pope Avenue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with William Hilton Parkway (US-278). Turn left onto US-278 and ride for another mile. Then, turn right onto Honey Horn Drive, and the Gullah Heritage Center will be on your left at 70 Honey Horn Dr.

From the Harbour Town area, walk north on Lighthouse Road until you reach the intersection with Baynard Cove Road. Turn left and continue until you reach the intersection with US-278. Cross over to the other side and head west on US-278, walking for about 1.5 miles. When you reach Honey Horn Drive, turn left, and you will find the Gullah Heritage Center at 70 Honey Horn Dr.
