    To reach Romare Bearden Park from downtown Rock Hill, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the corner of E Main St and N Cherry Rd. Take the CATS (Charlotte Area Transit System) bus number 47 towards ‘Hickory Grove’. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'CATS Transit Center' located at 300 E Trade St in Charlotte. From the transit center, it's a short walk to Romare Bearden Park. Exit the transit center and walk south on S College St, then turn right onto E 3rd St. Continue walking until you reach S Church St, where you will find the park at 300 S Church St.

  • Bicycle

    For a more active route, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Rock Hill, such as the one at the Rock Hill outdoor center. Head north on the Riverwalk Trail, following the signs towards Charlotte. The trail will eventually lead you to the Catawba River. Once you reach the river, follow the trail signs along the river until you reach the connection to the Charlotte Greenway. Continue on the Greenway towards downtown Charlotte, and you will be able to access Romare Bearden Park by exiting onto S Church St.

    If you prefer to walk, start at the center of Rock Hill, specifically from the Old Town area. Head north on N Main St which will turn into S Main St as you cross over the highway. Continue straight until you reach E White St, then turn left. Walk until you reach the intersection with S Church St. Turn right onto S Church St and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. Romare Bearden Park will be on your left at 300 S Church St.
