    From downtown Spartanburg, head south on Main Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W. Church Street. Turn left onto W. Church Street and walk for another 0.3 miles. You will reach the Spartanburg Regional History Museum on your right. From here, continue straight onto S. Pine Street. After about 1 mile, you will see signs for the Fernwood Nature Trail. Follow the signs and enter the trailhead located just off the road.

    Catch the Spartanburg Area Transit System (SPATS) bus route that heads towards Greenville. You can board the bus at any of the stops around downtown Spartanburg. Make sure to take the bus going to 'Greenville via I-85'. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the 'Fernwood Nature Trail' stop. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to the entrance of the trail.
