From the center of Custer, head north on 5th Street towards the junction with Highway 16. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Highway 16. Turn left onto Highway 16 and follow it north. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach a bus stop where you can catch a local shuttle or bus to Rapid City. Make sure to check the schedule in advance as services may vary. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you arrive in Rapid City.
