Start at the center of Custer, near the Custer County Courthouse. Head northeast on E Mount Rushmore Rd toward N 5th St. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-16. Turn left onto US-16 and walk for another mile. You will pass several local shops and restaurants. After about 1 mile, look for the sign directing you to Rapid City on your right. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the stop for the public bus service heading to Rapid City.

Once you reach the bus stop, wait for the public bus heading to Rapid City. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Rapid City, get off at the stop closest to Main St and St Joseph St. From there, head west on Main St for about 3 blocks until you reach St Joseph St. Turn right and walk for about 2 blocks. The Suzie Cappa Art Center will be on your left at 722 St Joseph St.
