Start from the Deadwood Visitor Center located at 501 Main St. Head east on Main St towards the intersection with Williams St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 4th St. Turn left onto 4th St and continue for another 0.2 miles. You will see a small trail leading up to the Black Hills on your right. Follow the trail, and after a short walk, you will find yourself in a scenic area of the Black Hills.
