If you are near Gwangju's City Hall, exit towards the main road and walk south on Geumnam-ro for about 15 minutes. You should see signs for 5.18 Democracy Square. The square is located at Geumnamno 1(il)-ga, Dong-gu, Gwangju. Look for the large monument and park area as you approach.
