    If you are near Gwangju's City Hall, exit towards the main road and walk south on Geumnam-ro for about 15 minutes. You should see signs for 5.18 Democracy Square. The square is located at Geumnamno 1(il)-ga, Dong-gu, Gwangju. Look for the large monument and park area as you approach.

  • Subway

    Take the Gwangju Subway Line 1. Board the train at any station and head towards the Gwangju Songjeong Station. Get off at the Dong-gu Office Station (동구청역). Upon exiting the station, head east towards Geumnam-ro and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach 5.18 Democracy Square.
