If you are near any metro station, take Line 4 (the yellow line) and get off at the 'Jaume I' station. After exiting the station, head towards the exit marked 'Carrer de la Princesa'. Once you are outside, turn left on Carrer de la Princesa and walk straight for about 5 minutes. You will reach Plaça de Santa Maria, where the Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar is located.

Look for bus stops near you, and take bus number 120 or V17. If you board bus number 120, get off at the 'Plaça de Santa Maria' stop. If you take V17, get off at 'Carrer de l'Argenteria - Plaça de Santa Maria'. From either stop, you will see the Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar directly ahead.

If you are in the Gothic Quarter or nearby areas, you can walk to Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar quite easily. Start from the Barcelona Cathedral (Catedral de Barcelona) and head southeast along Carrer del Bisbe. Continue onto Carrer de la Pietat and then turn left onto Carrer de l'Argenteria. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Plaça de Santa Maria. The basilica will be right there in the square.
