If you are near the Barcelona Cathedral (Catedral de Barcelona), exit the cathedral and head towards Carrer del Bisbe. Walk along this street until you reach Plaça del Rei, which will be on your left after a few minutes. Look for the large square surrounded by historical buildings, including the Palau Reial Major.

From the Plaça Sant Jaume, which is a central square in the Gothic Quarter, walk down Carrer de Sant Honorat. Continue straight until you reach Carrer del Còdex. Turn left and follow the street until you arrive at Plaça del Rei on your right. You should see the iconic medieval architecture as you approach the square.
