A Great Day in Seville

We were traveling as a family on a cruise and really wanted to see Seville without worrying about getting back to Cádiz on time. The day worked out really well for us. We visited Seville Cathedral and the Giralda, and seeing the architecture in person was incredible. The Alcázar was another highlight, especially the beautiful details and the mix of different architectural styles. We also stopped at Plaza de España, which was probably the favorite spot for everyone in our family. There was plenty of time for photos and to simply take in the surroundings. Later, we had some free time around Santa Cruz, where we walked through the narrow streets and found a nice place for a drink and a snack. The guide was friendly and easy to listen to, especially when explaining the history behind the places we were seeing. We never felt rushed, but the schedule was organized enough that we could see a lot in one day. Most importantly for us as cruise passengers, we returned with plenty of time before departure. It was a very enjoyable family day.

I chose this excursion mainly because I wanted an easy way to get from the cruise port in Cadiz to Seville and back without arranging separate transportation. The free time in the city center gave me a chance to explore independently and see a few things that caught my attention. Everything ran on schedule, including the return to the port.
