Bus
From the Girona city center, walk to the Estació d'Autobusos de Girona (the bus station). This is located near the Plaça Espanya. Once there, look for the bus company that operates services to Tavertet. Purchase a ticket to Tavertet. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Tavertet, you can explore the area on foot.
Train and Walk
Start at Girona's main train station (Estació de Girona). Take a train towards Barcelona and get off at the nearest train station to Tavertet, which is in the town of Manlleu. From Manlleu, you will need to either walk or take a local bus to Tavertet. The walking distance from Manlleu to Tavertet is about 10 km, which may take around 2 hours. Alternatively, check for local taxis at the Manlleu station for a quicker journey to Tavertet.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Girona. Once you have your bike, head towards the outskirts of the city following the routes marked for biking. The ride to Tavertet will take you through beautiful landscapes and may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your speed. Make sure to bring water and snacks for the journey.
