Getting There

  • Bus

    From Málaga city center, head to the main bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Málaga) located at Avenida de Andalucía, 4. You can take the M-110 bus line towards Benalmádena. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 'Benalmádena / Parque de la Paloma' stop. From there, you can take a 30-minute walk to the Stupa of Enlightenment. Head northeast on Calle de la Paloma, turn left onto Avenida de las Palmeras, and continue until you reach Avenida Retamar. The Stupa will be on your left at Avenida Retamar, s/n, 29639 Benalmádena.

    Take the Cercanías train from Málaga Centro-Alameda station towards Fuengirola. Get off at the 'Benalmádena' station. The train ride takes about 20 minutes. Upon exiting the train station, you can take a taxi or use a ridesharing app to reach the Stupa of Enlightenment, which is approximately a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, you can walk for about 50 minutes by heading northwest on Avenida de la Estación, then follow Calle de los Tilos until you reach Avenida Retamar, where the Stupa is located.
