If you are in the heart of Casco Histórico, head towards Praza do Obradoiro, which is home to the stunning Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. From the cathedral, exit the square and head towards the northwest corner where you will find Rua do Vilar. Walk along Rua do Vilar for about 300 meters until you reach Praza das Praterías. The Fountain of Horses is located in this square, so keep an eye out for the fountain as you approach.

Walking from Mercado de Abastos
If you are near the Mercado de Abastos, exit the market and head west towards Rua das Orfas. Turn right onto Rua das Orfas and continue walking until you reach Praza da Inmaculada. From there, walk towards the famous Cathedral. After passing the Cathedral, continue straight to Praza das Praterías where the Fountain of Horses is located.

Although the area is very walkable, if you are further out in Santiago, you can take a bus to the nearest stop. Look for buses that head towards the city center or specifically to Praza do Obradoiro.
