From the heart of Ciutat Vella, make your way to Plaça de la Reina. Once at the square, face the beautiful Valencia Cathedral. Walk straight down Calle de la Paz which will lead you to the intersection with Carrer de la Sierpes. Continue straight until you reach the crossroads with Carrer de la Paz again. Here, turn right and proceed until you reach the next major square, Plaça de la Porta de la Mar, where you'll find the Porta de la Mar monument. This walk should take approximately 15 minutes.

If you prefer public transport, head to the nearest metro station, which is 'Colón'. Board Line 3 or 5 towards the 'Aeroport' or 'Rafelbunyol' direction. Get off at the next stop, 'Xàtiva'. From there, exit the station and walk towards the Plaza de los Fueros. Continue straight and follow the signs leading to 'Jardines del Turia'. Finally, walk towards Plaça de la Porta de la Mar, which is about a 10-minute walk from the metro station. The metro fare is approximately €1.50.
