From Negombo town center, head to the main bus station located on Main Street. Look for buses heading towards Chilaw. The bus fare is approximately 50 LKR. The journey should take around 45-60 minutes. Once you reach Chilaw, ask the driver to drop you off at Munneswaram, known for the Sri Nalla Vinayagar Devasthanam. After disembarking, walk along Kurunegal Road for about 10 minutes; the temple will be on your right.

Tuk-Tuk
If you prefer a more direct route from Negombo, you can hire a tuk-tuk. Agree on a fare beforehand; it should cost around 1500-2000 LKR for a one-way trip. Inform the driver to take you to Sri Nalla Vinayagar Devasthanam on Kurunegal Road, Munneswaram. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

If you are close to the bus station in Negombo, you can walk to the location, though it is quite far. Start by heading west on Main Street, then take a left onto Colombo Road (A3). Continue straight for about 7 km until you reach the junction near Chilaw. From there, turn right onto Kurunegal Road and walk for about 1 km. The temple will be on your left. This walk will take over an hour, so it’s advisable only if you are up for a long stroll.
