Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Colombo, take the N1 (Colombo - Kandy Road) towards Negombo. After approximately 37 km, exit onto the A3 (Negombo - Chilaw Road) and continue for about 10 km. When you reach Negombo, look for signs for Porutota Road. Turn onto Porutota Road, and Jetwing Beach will be on your left. It is advisable to use a GPS or a navigation app for real-time directions, as traffic conditions can vary.

Public Transportation (Bus)

From Colombo, head to the Colombo Central Bus Stand. Board a bus heading to Negombo (there are frequent services). The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Negombo Bus Station, you can take a local tuk-tuk or a taxi to Jetwing Beach, which is about 5 km away. Inform the driver to take you to Porutota Road, Ethukale, where Jetwing Beach is located.

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

If you prefer a more direct option, you can book a taxi or use a ride-hailing app such as PickMe or Uber. Simply set your destination to Jetwing Beach, Porutota Road, Ethukale, Negombo. The fare will depend on your starting location, but from Colombo, it may cost between LKR 3,000 to LKR 4,500. The journey should take around 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic.
