If you are starting from the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum, head south along the main road (Polonnaruwa-Hingurakgoda Rd) for approximately 1.5 km. You will pass several small shops and eateries along the way. Continue until you reach the 26th Mile Post Bus Stop, which is a landmark on your route. The Old Sluice of Parakrama Samudraya is located just beyond this bus stop, on the left side of the road. Look for signs or ask locals for guidance if needed.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Polonnaruwa. Start from the Polonnaruwa Ancient City entrance, heading south towards the Polonnaruwa-Hingurakgoda Rd. Follow this road for about 2 km. You will pass by the beautiful ancient ruins, so take your time and enjoy the scenery. After reaching the 26th Mile Post Bus Stop, park your bicycle and walk a short distance to the left side of the road to find the Old Sluice of Parakrama Samudraya.
