Experience Yala Block I

Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving within Yala National Park, follow the main road that connects to Block I. From the entrance of Yala National Park, continue straight for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction. At the junction, take a left turn and follow the signs for Block I. Continue on this road for another 3 kilometers, where you will see the entrance to Yala Block I on your right. Note that there are entrance fees for the park, which can vary, so ensure you have local currency ready.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Colombo or Galle to Tissamaharama (often referred to as Tissa). From Tissamaharama, you can hire a tuk-tuk or taxi to take you to Yala National Park's entrance. The distance from Tissa to the park entrance is about 14 kilometers. Once you reach the entrance, follow the instructions for driving as mentioned above to reach Block I.
