Walking
If you are already in Vasastaden, head towards the intersection of Vasagatan and Kungsportsavenyen. From there, walk south on Kungsportsavenyen until you reach the next intersection. Turn right onto Lorensbergsgatan, and continue straight. Vasaplatsen will be on your right after a short walk, just past the Lorensberg Theatre.

Tram
You can take Tram 1 or Tram 2 from any nearby tram stop in Vasastaden. Board the tram heading towards 'Sävenäs' (Tram 1) or 'Tynnered' (Tram 2). Get off at the 'Vasaplatsen' stop. The square will be just a short walk away from the tram stop. Be sure to check the ticket prices, which are usually around 38 SEK for a single ticket.
