Svampen, Örebro's beloved water tower, stands 58 meters tall in the Norr district, designed by architects Sune Lindström and Poul Kyhl. Constructed between 1956 and 1958, its massive 3,200-ton reservoir—45.5 meters in diameter—was hoisted into place using 32 hydraulic jacks at 58 cm per day. Originally holding 9 million liters, it replaced older towers and now hosts a skybar with stunning city panoramas.
