Getting There

  • Train

    Start at the main train station in Geneva, called Gare Cornavin. Purchase a ticket to Prangins at one of the ticket machines or at the ticket counter. Trains to Prangins are operated by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). Once you have your ticket, head to the platform indicated on your ticket. The journey to Prangins takes about 30 minutes. You will need to take the train heading towards Vevey or Lausanne. Get off at the Prangins station.

  • Walking from Prangins Train Station

    Upon arriving at Prangins train station, exit the station and turn left onto Rue de la Gare. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Gare. Turn right onto Avenue de la Gare, and then continue straight. You will soon see signs for the Château de Prangins. Follow the signs, and it will take about 15-20 minutes of walking to reach the museum, which is located at Av. Général Guiguer 3.

  • Bus

    After arriving at Gare Cornavin, you can also take a bus to reach Prangins. Take tram line number 12 from the station towards 'Mouettes' and get off at 'Jardin Botanique'. From there, transfer to bus number 251 towards 'Prangins' and get off at 'Château de Prangins'. The entire journey, including transfers, should take about 45 minutes.

  • Bicycle

    If you are up for cycling, you can rent a bike in Geneva. Start from the city center and follow the lakeside bike path towards Nyon. The route is scenic and will take you through beautiful landscapes along the lake. Continue cycling until you reach Prangins, which is about 12 km away from Geneva. Make your way to Av. Général Guiguer 3 to reach the museum.
