Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center, start at the famous Jet d'Eau on Lake Geneva. Walk along the lake promenade (Promenade du Lac) in the direction of the Mont-Blanc bridge. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, enjoying the views of the lake and the Alps. The National Monument will be located at Prom. du Lac 2, directly at the edge of the lake, just before you reach the Parc des Bastions.

  • Tram

    Take Tram Line 12 from the city center (stop at Gare Cornavin) in the direction of 'Nations'. Get off at the stop 'Nations' which is one of the main stops. From there, you can either walk around 15 minutes down to the lake through the Parc des Bastions or catch Tram Line 18 from 'Nations' to 'Jardin Botanique'. From 'Jardin Botanique', it’s a short 5-minute walk down to the lake, where the National Monument is located.

  • Bus

    Catch Bus Line 1 from the city center (stop at Gare Cornavin) heading towards 'Jardin des Tuileries'. Get off at the stop 'Jardin Botanique'. From there, walk down to the lakeside (Promenade du Lac) and turn left. The National Monument will be on your right-hand side at Prom. du Lac 2, just before the entrance to Parc des Bastions.
