Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Interlaken, head towards the Interlaken West train station. Walk along Höheweg street until you reach the station. Once at Interlaken West, follow the signs to the train platform and take the train towards Wilderswil. The train ride will take approximately 5 minutes. Once you arrive at Wilderswil station, exit the train and turn left onto Dorfstrasse. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Burgenweg. Turn right onto Burgenweg, and follow the path uphill for about 15-20 minutes. You will see signs directing you to Burgruine Unspunnen. The castle ruins will be on your left.

    From the center of Interlaken, walk to the Interlaken West bus station. Take the bus number 21 towards Wilderswil. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Wilderswil, Bahnhof' stop. From there, walk straight along the main road (Dorfstrasse) for about 400 meters, then turn right onto Burgenweg. Follow Burgenweg uphill for about 15-20 minutes until you reach Burgruine Unspunnen.
