Once you reach Lauterbrunnen, continue straight until you reach the Stechelberg road. Turn left onto the road towards Stechelberg. After approximately 10 minutes of driving, you will arrive at Mattenbach, where you can find parking available nearby. Take note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around CHF 5 for the day.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Mattenbachfälle via public transportation, start your journey at the Interlaken Ost train station. Take the train to Lauterbrunnen (approximately 20 minutes). Once you arrive in Lauterbrunnen, transfer to the PostBus (bus number 141) heading towards Stechelberg. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the Mattenbach stop. From the stop, it's just a short walk to the Mattenbachfälle. Be sure to check the PostBus schedule ahead of time, as they may vary throughout the day.
