Bus
From the center of Thun, walk to the Thun Bahnhof (train station). Once there, take Bus 21 towards Gstaad. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on the bus stops; you want to get off at the 'Saanen' stop. After disembarking, follow the signs to explore the village of Saanen and its charming surroundings.
Train
Start at Thun Bahnhof and buy a ticket for the train to Gstaad. Board the train direction Zweisimmen. The journey will take around 50 minutes. Get off at the Gstaad train station. From there, you can take a local bus or walk to Saanen, which is about a 20-minute walk from the station. Just follow the signs towards Saanen, and enjoy the scenic route.

If you are near the Thunersee waterfront, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards Saanen. Start by following the path along the lake towards the town of Spiez. From Spiez, head towards the bus stop and catch a bus heading to Gstaad, getting off at Saanen. This option combines walking with public transportation for a more immersive experience.
