At Zurich HB, you can also take a long-distance bus to Lucerne. Check the bus schedules for companies like FlixBus or PostBus. The bus ride may take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lucerne bus terminal, head towards the main exit and follow the signs to the city center.

Boat
From Zurich, you can take a scenic boat ride on Lake Zurich to the town of Rapperswil. Then, transfer to a train from Rapperswil to Lucerne. The boat ride typically takes about 2 hours, and the train ride takes around 30 minutes. This route offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

If you are staying in a hotel in the city center of Lucerne, you can easily walk to the Tourist Information Center located at Zentralstrasse 5. From the train station, exit and head straight on Pilatusstrasse. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Zentralstrasse. Turn right onto Zentralstrasse, and the Tourist Information Center will be on your left.
