Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Moshi, head south on Uhuru Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Kibong'oto Road. Take a left onto Kibong'oto Road and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Mzungu Street. Continue straight for another 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Mkunguni Street. Turn right onto Mkunguni Street, and after a short walk, you will see Swahili Market on your left, just before the intersection with Kisutu Market.

  • Bicycle

    Starting from the Kilimanjaro Coffee Lodge, head southwest on the main road. Follow the signs toward the center of Moshi. Once you reach the junction with Kibong'oto Road, take a left and continue for approximately 10 minutes. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Mzungu Street. Pedal straight for another 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Mkunguni Street. Turn right, and Swahili Market will be on your left side shortly after.

  • Public Transport (Dala Dala)

    Catch a Dala Dala (local minibus) heading towards the Moshi bus terminal from any main stop in Moshi. Once you reach the terminal, exit and walk towards the main road. From there, take a Dala Dala that says it's heading towards Mzungu. Get off at the Mzungu Street stop, then walk straight for about 5 minutes. Turn right onto Mkunguni Street, and Swahili Market will be on your left.
