Getting There

From Ruaha National Park, head northwest on the main road towards the town of Iringa. Continue along the highway for approximately 100 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Rungwa Game Reserve, which is marked as RX2G+G2C. Turn onto the B6 road at this junction. Follow the B6 for about 25 kilometers, and you will reach the entrance to Rungwa Game Reserve. Make sure to have cash ready for entrance fees, which typically cost around $15 per person.

From Ruaha National Park, take a matatu (shared taxi) to Iringa. The ride usually costs about 10,000 TZS and takes around 2 hours. Once you arrive in Iringa, find another matatu heading towards Rungwa. Inform the driver of your destination to ensure they drop you off at the correct junction for the B6 road. The fare for this leg is roughly 5,000 TZS. Walk along the B6 road for approximately 25 kilometers to reach the entrance of Rungwa Game Reserve.
