Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the main entrance of Ruaha National Park, head southeast on the main park road towards the Ruaha River. Continue straight for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the junction at Msembe. Here, take a right turn towards Mkangira. After about 20 kilometers, you will arrive in Mkangira. Look for the coordinates 2G22+225, where Selous Mapumziko Lodge is located. Ensure you have a reliable GPS or map application, as road conditions can vary.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Selous Mapumziko Lodge via public transportation, you can take a minibus from Iringa to Ruaha National Park. The minibus should drop you off at the main entrance of the park. From there, you will need to hire a private taxi or arrange for a lodge transfer service to take you to Mkangira. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay around 50,000 TZS for the taxi ride, which is approximately 20 kilometers.

• Lodge Transfer

  Many lodges in Ruaha National Park offer transfer services. Contact Selous Mapumziko Lodge in advance to inquire about their pickup services from the main park entrance or nearby locations. The lodge can arrange a vehicle to pick you up, which can be a convenient option if you are unfamiliar with the area.
