If you are driving from the central area of Tarangire National Park, head southeast towards the main road (Tarangire Road). Continue on Tarangire Road for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the junction near the park entrance. Turn left onto the dirt road which is well-marked for Mkungunero Game Reserve. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers, and you will see signs directing you to the reserve. Ensure your vehicle has sufficient clearance for the unpaved roads.

To reach Mkungunero Game Reserve via public transport, you will first need to get to the main entrance of Tarangire National Park.
