    If you are driving from downtown Johnson City, head northeast on W Main St toward N Roan St/US-11E N. Continue on US-11E N for approximately 15 miles. Once you reach Elizabethton, turn left onto W Elk Ave (TN-67). Continue for about 1 mile, and Fort Watauga will be on your left at 1504 W Elk Ave. There is free parking available on-site.

    From Bristol, take I-81 S and follow signs for I-26 E toward Johnson City. Merge onto I-26 E and take exit 24 for US-321 N toward Elizabethton. Keep left at the fork, following signs for US-321 N. Continue on US-321 N for about 10 miles, and then turn right onto W Elk Ave (TN-67). Fort Watauga will be on your left at 1504 W Elk Ave.
