If you are in downtown Johnson City, start at the corner of W Main St and S Roan St. Head south on S Roan St. for about 0.3 miles until you reach E Main St. Turn left onto E Main St. and continue for approximately 0.5 miles. You will cross the intersection with S Sycamore St. Continue straight, and after about 0.2 miles, you will reach the Johnson City Public Library on your right. From the library, take a right onto S. Pine St. and continue for another 0.3 miles until you reach E. Walnut St. Turn left onto E. Walnut St. and walk for about 0.4 miles. After crossing the bridge, you will come to a bus stop. The Veterans Monument is located at 400 E. Elk Ave, Elizabethton, TN 37643, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

From downtown Johnson City, walk to the nearest bus stop at W Main St and S Roan St. Board the JC Transit bus route 1 in the direction of the Johnson City Transit Center. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of E Elk Ave and S Sycamore St in Elizabethton. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 0.2 miles east on E Elk Ave, and you will see the Veterans Monument on your left.
