Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Uptown Dallas, the Dallas Museum of Art is approximately a 15 to 20-minute walk away. Start by heading south on McKinney Avenue until you reach the intersection with Olive Street. Turn left onto Olive Street and continue walking until you reach Harwood Street. Turn right onto Harwood Street, and the museum will be on your left at 1717 N Harwood St. This route is pedestrian-friendly and allows you to enjoy the vibrant Uptown area.

  • DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) Light Rail

    From any location in Uptown, you can catch the DART light rail. The closest station is the 'Cityplace-Uptown' station. Board the light rail on the Red or Blue line towards either 'Westmoreland' or 'Downtown Rowlett'. Disembark at the 'St. Paul' station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk: exit the station and head west on Main St. until you reach Harwood St. Turn left, and the museum will be on your right. Note that a one-way fare on DART is around $2.50.
