Start your journey at any bus stop in Sunland Park. You will want to take Sun Metro Route 14, which heads towards the El Paso area. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Artcraft & Sunland Park.' From there, transfer to Route 34, which goes towards the Franklin Mountains State Park area. Get off at the 'Franklin Mountains State Park' stop. Note that a single ride costs $1.50, so keep some cash handy for the fare.

If you're feeling adventurous and have access to a bike, you can bike to Franklin Mountains State Park. Start from the center of Sunland Park and head east on Sunland Park Dr. Continue until you reach the intersection with Artcraft Rd and turn left. Follow Artcraft Rd north until you reach the entrance to the park. The bike ride is approximately 3 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.

For those who enjoy a longer walk, you can start from the Sunland Park neighborhood and walk to Franklin Mountains State Park. Head east on Sunland Park Dr. Once you reach Artcraft Rd, turn left and continue walking north until you see the park entrance on your right.
