    Begin your journey by taking the Trinity Metro bus route 1 (Blue Line) from downtown Fort Worth. Board the bus at the Fort Worth Central Station (1001 Jones St, Fort Worth, TX 76102). Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the stop at N. Beach St & Fossil Ridge Rd. From there, walk northwest on Fossil Ridge Rd for about 15 minutes until you reach the entrance of the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge at 9601 Fossil Ridge Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76135.

  • Bicycle

    If you're up for a ride, consider renting a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs available in Fort Worth. Start from the Fort Worth Water Gardens (1502 Commerce St, Fort Worth, TX 76102) and head north on Commerce St. Continue until you reach N. Beach St, then turn right. Follow N. Beach St until you reach Fossil Ridge Rd, and take a left. The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge will be on your right after about 1.5 miles.

    If you're feeling adventurous and are staying close to the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, you can walk directly. Start at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden (3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76107) and head north towards the Trinity River Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with N. Beach St. Continue walking north until you reach Fossil Ridge Rd, then make a left. The Nature Center will be approximately a mile down the road on your left at 9601 Fossil Ridge Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76135.
