    If you're starting from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, head east on Seawall Blvd toward 61st St. Continue walking until you reach 61st St and turn left. Walk north on 61st St until you reach the intersection with the Gulf Fwy (I-45). Cross over to the other side of the road and continue walking on 61st St until you hit the intersection with Boddeker Rd. Turn right onto Boddeker Rd and follow it until you see the entrance to East End Lagoon Nature Preserve.

    From the Strand Historic District, head east on Mechanic St toward 25th St. Turn left on 25th St and continue straight, which will turn into Seawall Blvd. Keep cycling along the Seawall until you reach 61st St. Turn left onto 61st St and cycle north until you reach Boddeker Rd. Turn right onto Boddeker Rd and continue until you arrive at East End Lagoon Nature Preserve.

  • Public Transportation

    From the Galveston Transit Center, take the bus route that heads toward the East End of the island. Get off at the stop nearest to 61st St and Seawall Blvd. From there, walk north on 61st St until you reach Boddeker Rd. Turn right onto Boddeker Rd and walk until you reach the East End Lagoon Nature Preserve.
